Clarity Creation wins Liverpool gaming school contract
Newly formed gaming and digital media college, The Studio in Liverpool, has appointed Clarity Creation to provide marketing support.
One of a handful of specialist Studio colleges in the UK, it’s aimed at teenagers looking for more vocational education and supported by the Department for Education alongside the Studio Schools Trust.
The Liverpool school is run by the North Liverpool Academy, which tasked the agency with promoting a programme of events over the next few weeks and months to engage with students looking for careers in digital arts. The first, I love Gaming takes place on February 13th, with a chance to talk to employers and attend workshops in 3D design, interactive television and gaming.
“The new Studio School will be a unique opportunity for young people to shape their own future, gaining the skills and experience they need to succeed in a competitive jobs market. We have appointed Clarity to help drive awareness amongst students and parents and ensure that we attract the very best applicants,” said Kay Askew, principal at The North Liverpool Academy.
The Liverpool project is being backed by Sony, Evolution Studios, MediaCityUK, Stagereel and the British Academy of Video Games.
“To be successful the Studio School needs the support of a range of employers and we will be reaching out to key players in the region’s flourishing gaming and digital industry. With their involvement the school will offer a broad curriculum capable of delivering the next generation of entrepreneurs, game developers and digital creatives,” added Clarity managing director, Phillip Ramsey.
