Delifonseca announces refurbishment of Stanley Street outlet
Liverpool delicatessen and restaurant Delifonseca is currently undergoing a five-figure-sum refurbishment following five years in the city centre.
Owner Candice Fonseca says her original Stanley Street outlet required a “refresh and a makeover” in a bid to help its widen its customer base and to create more of a distinction between the deli section and the restaurant, which is located above.
She added: “With the opening of our Brunswick site last September, many of our regular foodies defected due to the ease of parking, wider product range and the fact that we now have Brough’s Butchers on board.
“This was most noticeable in our evening and Saturday retail trade and we realised that going forward, our core customers would continue to be nearby residents and the business community.
“We needed to communicate our offer directly to those groups by essentially re-focusing back to what originally inspired me to open – creating a true neighbourhood delicatessen and restaurant.”
