Ninth Hub festival attracts more than 10,000
The ninth Hub Festival saw more than 10,000 people attend the urban mix of art, music and action sports on Otterspool Promenade.
This year, the event had also teamed up with the music festival Liverpool Sound City and saw headline performances from Blackout on Saturday and the award-winning Funeral for a Friend on Sunday.
Despite being the first year the event has charged a fee for tickets, attendances remained high and a spokeswoman said organisers had worked closely with the police, and it had been “a trouble-free two days”.
Liverpool City Council's cabinet member for culture and tourism, Cllr Wendy Simon, said feedback was “positive and added: “Our partnership with Sound City has been a huge success with popular bands providing the soundtrack to the best in street dance, BMXing and skating.”
The Hub Festival is supported by Liverpool Vision.
