Rallying Call To Crunch Weary Local Businesses Who Want More Customers
Troubled times bring people together. So why not local businesses? You want customers, and that’s what Community Business Bridge was set out to do – find them for you.
1,600 local businesses are already signed up within just the last couple of months, confirming that coming together is the answer. All of them agree with buying local.
Apply For Membership If You Want Customers
Successful applicants get instant access to a regular flow of introductions to new clients. You can only join if you believe in delivering great service and agree to the code of ethics in place to help you gain new customers.
Each time you gain a paying customer you must also pledge to make a small donation to the fund managed by LCVS to support a cross-section of local causes (or your own preferred charity if you have one). Your membership fee will give you access to an Introduction Manager who will meet your potential clients and outline your pledge.
During this first intake of paid members, only 150 applicants will be accepted because each introduction manager will manage a small portfolio.
There are 11 memberships left with a discount of 67% of the fees levied for the remaining applicants. So please apply immediately: enquiries@communitybusinessbridge.co.uk.
Neil Shaw of local office stationery and furniture company Shaw Savage is one of those partners who loves the concept. “It’s such a great way of finding new customers, and at the same time helping local causes. Why wouldn’t I want to give something back to the community in return for my business benefiting?”
He goes on: “When you become a partner, you sign up to a code of ethics. That’s because Community Business Bridge check that every introduction they make leaves the customer happy. Poor service can lead to a partner’s exclusion from the programme. As passionate believers in excellent service, Shaw Savage applauds the concept and has in fact been delighted to have generated lots of business through the initiative. It’s something we recommend to everyone, whether you just want to buy, or even pledge to give a little back by becoming an official partner too.”
Why It Works – People Believe In Buying Local Wherever They Can
This was originally a very small project which has grown from a very simple concept. Businesses do believe in buying local wherever they can. And they will switch more easily if there is a corporately responsible benefit for the local area too. In this case, you pledge a donation when your introductions convert into customers.
Our Introduction Managers follow a code of ethics. They meet local businesses and ask them for examples of things they buy from out of town providers, or, instances where they have been let down by a current supplier and will be switching anyway. They are then given examples of our approved partners and their pledges if they switch. We do not present where the potential client is happy with a current local provider, and particularly if they already use one of our current partners.
Our Introduction Managers are formerly unemployed individuals with broad commercial experience. They have graduated from the Community Business Bridge academy, and operate under our own code of ethics which govern how they affect introductions. They are not permitted to take an order, and will only ever effect an introduction where the prospective client gives permission to receive direct contact from one of our partners. Therefore, your introductions as an approved partner are far more likely to convert into a new client.
You pledge to deliver a great service. In fact, you also give us permission to seek feedback from every introduction. Less than satisfactory service can lead to us withdrawing your membership and our endorsement of you. That way, the clients we meet on your behalf have assurances and confidence to buy.
Our Introduction Managers are paid partly from your membership fee in addition to small finders fees for any purchases that are confirmed. The balance of your membership fee supports our academy and creating the relationships and opportunities for our Introduction Managers. In essence, your membership fee gives you an extension of your sales and marketing function, delivering qualified introductions with full details of their requirements before you meet them or call them yourself.
Subject to satisfactory client references, we will assemble a package detailing your donation for successful introductions, any additional incentives or discounts you wish to give potential clients, and details of the charity you support if you don’t wish LCVS to spread the donations for you.
Please Apply Quickly – Strict Limitations On Numbers From Each Business Sector
We have a strict limitation of just 150 members for our first uptake. Each introduction manager will only represent one business from each sector, so not everyone will be permitted to join.
Because we have lowered the size of portfolio to maximise the value we deliver, our prices are increasing. The next 11 local businesses to apply on a first-come, first-served basis will receive a one-year membership for 67% less than the fee will be levying beyond that.
To apply, please email enquiries@communitybusinessbridge.co.uk saying “Application” and include your contact telephone number. The first 11 to apply will receive a call to advise full details of prices, a chat to investigate the charitable donation you can make from each introduction, and the cause you would prefer to support.
