Local businesses are showing their support ahead of this weekend’s Bold Street Festival.

The fourth annual event will take place over two days this year, starting on Saturday, and will have street entertainers, live music and pavement painters plus an art market, vintage fair and plenty of stalls to explore.

Leading Liverpool hair salon chain Voodou will be entertaining the crowds with their very own seaside cut out board decorated in the comical style of an old fashioned hairdressers, complete with velcro rollers.

Rob Webb, managing director of Voodou, said: “The Bold Street Festival promises to be a great day out for all of the family and it’s great that the organising committee have managed to make it a two day event.

“It gives businesses like us an opportunity to showcase our talents to the Liverpool public and highlight what a modern and diverse offering Bold Street has.”

The festival, which will take place between 10am and 6pm and is free to attend, is being held with the help of Liverpool City Central BID.

Ged Gibbons, Chief Executive of City Central BID, said: ‘’The Bold Street Festival is a unique event in Liverpool’s cultural calendar mainly for the way the traders bring the city’s hippest street to life.

''Voodou are renowned for their creativity and their seaside cut out is bound to be a hit with the thousands of visitors we’re expecting over the weekend.’’
